Judge for yourself - before the appearance of new characters this year, Huntsman was the only guy in the collection (for comparison, there were nine girls). But now he won’t be bored, because Dexter Charming Ever After High is ready to keep him company (and even settled in the same room with him), and we, in turn, are ready to present a new product to our dear customers.

Let's start with the fact that Dexter is the son of the Charming King. But, unlike all the other fairy-tale characters who study at school, he is not associated with any one fairy tale. This is its unusualness, its uniqueness. A guy like Dexter Charming is ready to appear in any fairy tale where, according to the plot, Prince Charming saves the princess. He considered his fate a duty, so without hesitation he took the side of the Royals. That's just in real life he doesn't look much like a fairy-tale prince. Timid and indecisive, quiet and modest, he is often alone, loves peace and quiet. He also experiences some difficulties in communicating with girls, which, on the one hand, are associated with his fears of any personal conversations and especially dates, and on the other hand, with his banal inability to interest a girl. But in fact, only he himself thinks so, while the girls, probably feeling in him their own savior from the world of fairy tales, often strive to be close.
Dexter Charming always wears glasses in Ever After High. Yes, he has some vision problems. But there is another explanation for this: they say that it is glasses that can neutralize the effect on others that his magical eyes have. If a girl sees his eyes without glasses, she may lose consciousness. Not from fear, no, but from the fact that she would simply be fascinated by him. In order not to traumatize women's hearts and souls, Dexter Charming prefers to wear these glasses always and everywhere, hiding behind them a beautiful look and “charming” eyes.
Dexter Charming's dreams in Ever After High...
For a very long time, Dexter has been dreaming of asking Raven Queen out on a date. This is such a simple dream, but things are still very bad with its implementation. Perhaps because he considers "Wooing Ladies" the most difficult lesson in school. As soon as he gets a chance to talk to Raven or some other girl, all the pre-planned words suddenly disappear. In this he envies his own brother, who has never experienced such problems. But Dexter Charming loves “Preparing Heroes” because he is always happy about new challenges and trials.

Dexter Charming is the second son of King Charming. His pairing with Raven is the most popular in the entire Happily Ever After fandom.
1.Appearance
For some reason, princes are usually depicted in blue colors. This is probably due to the fact that the color blue symbolizes purity, constancy, intelligence and tenderness. We always attribute all of the above qualities to handsome princes. And Dexter is no exception. However, the dominant color in the prince’s outfit is not blue, but blue, symbolizing organization, fortitude, idealism and, at the same time, subordination. In addition, Dexter clearly has an affinity for the color gray, which symbolizes sanity, realism, as well as melancholy and fear of loss.
Also in the image of the prince one can see his position as the second child. Instead of a chic crown, there is a modest gold hoop. Charming Jr. dresses stylishly, but much less flashy than his brother.

Well, now about the character itself. In fact, Dexter is still tormented transitional age. This can be seen in his mood swings and extreme shyness. The position of the Heir (even if he is second in line) and the associated responsibility further aggravate the situation. And, of course, unrequited love contributes. As a result for a long time Dexter doesn't actually have an opinion of his own. No matter what happens, he is always on the side of the Heirs. Although he doesn’t always agree with them, and he completely condemns Daring’s behavior. However, Dexter is quite sociable. He is in good relations with both the Heirs and the Rebels (he is friends with Cupid, Hunter and Meddie). Dexter's glasses, shyness and love of technology evoke the image of a "nerd", but this is not the case at all. The prince’s favorite subject is Heroism, and he also plays on the bookball team, a very dangerous sport. This is something to keep in mind when writing fan fiction featuring Dexter. Charming Jr.’s shyness, by the way, is also a very ambiguous thing. Even regarding Raven. Sometimes Dexter plucks up courage and shows his beloved obvious signs of attention. Alas, they fail due to tricks of fate.

2. Daring Charming
In the very first episode, Dexter calls his brother a “show off.” In the future, the prince also does not show his brother much respect. But at the same time, Daring clearly serves as a role model for his younger brother. There are reasons for this. Daring is older, he has already formed mentally, has his own principles, priorities and manner of behavior. He is confident and successful with girls. Dexter would like to have all of the above qualities. So Dexter is torn between his brother’s dissatisfaction and admiration for him.
In addition, in one of the episodes of the Coronation Day special, Dexter, like a child to a parent, tells Daring the good news - the voting will take place using mirror phones. As a result, we can say that despite the criticism, our prince still admires his brother. Therefore, portraying the relationship between these two as “clever Dexter teaches his stupid brother how to properly rule the kingdom” is already OOC.
3.Raven Queen
Well, what can I say, Dexter is in love with this person. This love motivates many ficwriters to create. Again, what is there to say other than that Dexter is unrequitedly in love? And there is something to say.
Being a romantic person, Dexter, in theory, should strongly idealize his beloved. We don’t know whether this is so, but it is quite possible that it is so. Dexter is ready to sit around the corner and admire his love, and that will be enough for him. If the prince takes the initiative, then with broad gestures - flowers, poems. Whenever communicating with Raven, Dexter is nervous and tries to be as delicate as possible. God forbid that you somehow hurt your beloved’s feelings!
