Broccoli casserole with cheese and eggs in the oven is not only very tasty and tender, but also quite nutritious and, of course, healthy. This recipe will be an excellent solution not only for breakfast, but also for a light lunch or dinner. Even small children enjoy eating this dish, so I don’t use anything else except salt, but you can add any favorite spices to your taste. Of course, not everyone likes cabbage, but perhaps even those who don’t particularly respect it will like my recipe. The broccoli turns out very tender, and in combination with cheese it tastes simply great in my opinion. If desired, milk can be replaced with cream to achieve more creamy taste, which will come to the fore. This amount of ingredients yields 2-3 servings; if desired, increase or decrease the amount of ingredients in proportion to the number of eaters in your family. Preparing the dish is not at all difficult, I would even say that the recipe is as simple as possible, so even a beginner in the kitchen can handle it! I advise you to try cooking and add variety to your daily diet!

  • cheese – 100 grams.
  • egg – 2 pieces.
  • milk – 100 ml.
  • salt - to taste.

How to cook broccoli with cheese in the oven:

I used frozen cabbage in the recipe, but, of course, you can replace it with fresh cabbage, just by first carefully disassembling the broccoli into florets. Place the broccoli in boiling salted water and cook for no more than 3-4 minutes. Then fill it with cold water and literally after five minutes put it in a colander to get rid of excess liquid.

Meanwhile, for the filling, beat the eggs with salt.

Add milk or cream.

And any grated cheese durum varieties, which melts well in the oven.

Grease the baking dish with oil; you can use either vegetable or butter. Place broccoli florets in an even layer. Sprinkle a little salt on top of the cabbage. If the dish is not intended for a children's table, then you can also sprinkle it with ground black pepper or any other spices of your choice.

Pour in the egg mixture prepared earlier.

And bake in a preheated oven at 180*C for about 20 minutes. I go by the golden brown cheese crust on top.

Serve broccoli casserole hot or warm as an independent dish. If desired, you can decorate the top with fresh herbs. It turns out very tender, tasty and healthy dish, which I highly recommend trying, especially for fans of this wonderful vegetable.
